The following commissioned research examines the major international market developments since 2017, such as ‘Access Reform’ allowing eligible non-bank PSPs in both the United Kingdom and Australia. Canada is then benchmarked against the UK and Australia, where it’s noted that Canada has no prominence, awareness of, or support for FinTech at a national level, including by government. Specific lessons learned for Canada along with suggested next steps for Fintechs Canada are included.
