Fintechs Canada welcomes Interac as its newest member

December 8, 2020: Fintechs Canada, Canada’s only national association dedicated to the enhancement of  Canada’s payments system and the opportunities for PayTech/Payment Service Providers in Canada is pleased to announce the addition of Interac as the newest general member to the Fintechs Canada Association.

“We are thrilled to welcome Interac as the newest member of Fintechs Canada. As a dominant force in both debit and real-time payments, Interac is a leader in innovation and continues to be on the forefront of payments in Canada. Together, we can make a difference for all players in the payment’s ecosystem,” said Laurence Cooke, Board Chair, Fintechs Canada.   

This union comes at an opportune time when numerous payments system-related issues are under review and discussion, including system modernization, a new open banking framework and proposed regulation for payments service providers.
